Gantt
To view any project on Gantt chart, you can click on the button at top right corner, that appears after the project is saved.
Gantt chart in Deepser is divided into two main parts. On the first one there is a table with all the Tasks for this project. The header columns of it represent fields of Task model.
There are unlimited levels of tasks. As you can see from the screenshot below, you can create:
- “First level” tasks by clicking the main + button highlighted.
- Subtasks by clicking the small + button on the right side. Additionally, you can copy and delete subtasks from the yellow and red icon on the right side.
Gantt Chart
Gantt Chart in Deepser visualises all the tasks for a project, based on their start date and duration.
Time Scale -> It scales the Gantt calendar based on its options. The default time scale for it will be the project “Default Time scale” value. For E.g. if the option selected is 2 weeks, the chart will be divided into every two weeks duration columns.
Expand -> It is used to define the level of tasks that will be shown on the chart. Level 1 option is for all the main tasks and level max shows all the tasks and subtasks. If there is a level of subtasks of more than 1, a new option level will be shown on the list.
For E.g. If a subtask has its own subtask, Level 2 option will be added on the list.
Hide Task List -> By clicking this button you can hide the tasks table.
Legend
- Task Bars: Represents individual tasks or activities within the project. The length of a bar indicates its duration. Bars with a blue colour, are main tasks that have their own subtasks, while bars with the green colour do not have subtasks.
- Dependencies: Orange arrows indicate relationships between tasks. Arrow starts source Task to the Dependent Task.
- The yellow arrow on the chart is visible when a task has a Deadline Date.
- The red arrow on a task means that there is a constraint for that task. When you hover on the arrow it shows the constraint type.
- This symbol represents a task that is a Milestone. Is Milestone toggle is set to “Yes”.
