End Users Visibility Overview

In Deepser, end users are those users whose role is configured as "Users." They have access only to the User Portal and, if enabled, the public portal. This article summarizes the default visibility rules for end users across the main Deepser entities, helping administrators understand how data access is scoped for this role.

Service Operations

By default, end users can see only the Service Operations they have opened. There are two ways to extend this visibility:

  • Company Supervisor: A Company Supervisor has access to all Service Operations of their company and all additional companies, unless the "Limit to Company Data" setting restricts them to only their own company's Service Operations.
  • Empowered End User (EEU): An Empowered End User can view Service Operations shared with them through the Access Users or Access Groups fields. This requires an EEU license.

CIs

End users can view CIs assigned to them, owned by them, or belonging to their company. Company Supervisor users can view all CIs of their company. CI visibility on the User Portal must also be enabled in System > Configuration > Portal Configurations > CMDB.

Forms

End users cannot modify form fields or change the form template currently displayed. Form templates shown to end users on the User Portal are configured by administrators in the Deepser Backend.
