Creating New Categories and sub-Categories in Deepser

CREATING NEW CATEGORY IN DEEPSER
To create a new category in Deepser you will need to go to the menu: System -> Categories
At this point, you will need to click on the “Add Root Category” button
At this point, the following screen will open:
Below are the fields with their meanings:
Field | Description |
Name | This field is the name that the new category will have. |
Description | This field is the description that will be associated with the new category |
Image | This is the icon that will be displayed side by side next to the category name (only if this field is filled in) |
Status | This field is the status that will have the new category: if the status will be enabled then the category will be displayed among the usable and selectable categories, otherwise it will not be displayed among the categories. |
Frontend Visibility | This field indicates whether this category will be viewable among the categories in the guest portal (only if the guest portal is enabled) |
Once you have filled in the fields, you can click on the “Save Category” button
Creating New Sub-Category in Deepser
To create a new subcategory in Deepser you will need to go to the menu: System -> Categories
At this point, you will need to select the category that will become the parent of the new subcategory and click on the “Add child Category” button
Now the following screen will open:
Below are the fields with their meanings:
Field | Description |
Name | This field is the name that the new subcategory will have. |
Description | This field is the description that will be associated with the new subcategory |
Image | This is the icon that will be displayed side by side next to the subcategory name (only if this field is filled in) |
Status | This field is the status that the new subcategory will have: if the status will be enabled then the category will be displayed among the usable and selectable subcategories, otherwise it will not be displayed among the subcategories. |
Frontend Visibility | This field indicates whether this category will be viewable among the subcategories in the guest portal (only if the guest portal is enabled) |
Once the fields have been filled in, it will be possible to click on the “Save Category” button.
