Public Chat
Deepser’s public chat, is a front-end chat available as a widget in any website or web service, through a script.
This type of communication, allows any unregistered user to send a message, which will then be managed in the Key User, Agent and Admin, if enabled.
Any communication made through the public widget, or in the guest portal, will appear in the Deepser backend, and will be identified by a unique code, representing the cookie released in the machine of the user who sent the message.
On the other left you can see the three statuses of a Public chat:
- Not Assigned: The chat has yet to be assigned to a Key User, Agent or Admin, so any user correctly configured with one of these roles can see the message, but not respond until it is assigned.
- Assigned: The chat is visible only to the assignee user, who can respond.
- Resolved: The conversation has come to a conclusion.
To assign a chat, click on the icon at the top right, else to just choose to manage the request personally, click below the message.
To mark a conversation as resolved, press the tick button instead.
The user will then see the answer
