Deepser CMDB
The CMDB in Deepser is a database made available to the user.
It allows you to create records (Configuration item or CI), each of them characterized by a Type, a Sub Type and a Class.
Classes
Classes make it possible to distinguish ci into macro categories.
The defined macro categories will be displayed on the backend side inside the CMDB menu as shown in the figure below.
Types
Types allow you to add a type layer to the elements defined in the classes.
On one hand, it allows you a more granular management of visibility permissions.
On the other hand, it allows us to make it more immediate to understand what that particular refers to.
Subtypes
Subtypes allow you to add a type layer to the elements defined in the Types.
This allows on the one hand a more granular management of visibility permissions; on the other hand, it allows us to make it more immediate to understand what that particular refers to.
THE CI
As mentioned above, there are similar to records in a database that allow you to create custom entities within Deepser.
These entities can be assigned to users who will be able to view and edit these entities.
An example of use is for example the management of the devices assigned to the users, in this case once assigned the ci to the user, it will be able to display any information concerning the device itself for example serial number, any pins or associated codes or any other kind of information that may be useful to manage for the assignee user.
Types allow you to add a type layer to the elements defined in the classes.
This allows on the one hand a more granular management of visibility permissions; on the other hand, it allows us to make it more immediate to understand what that particular refers to.
